Active Start (ten 1-hour sessions)
Players born in 2016, 2017 and 2018

The program goal is to provide our youngest players with a “pressure free” introduction to the beautiful game of soccer. At this age, players should be exposed to soccer by playing simple, fun activities and games. The program is designed to provide young players with a combination of technical instruction and small-sided games (age appropriate) in a fun environment. Coaches will look to break down movements and skills without a ball at times to create self-confidence and a better understanding of tasks to allow players to attempt more complex tasks with the ball. The focus is on the development of player’s agility, balance & co-ordination as well as creating comfort in a social setting, including team participation. The program follows the GAG model: Game Activity Game.

There will be a Fall Active Start and a separate Winter Active Start of 10 sessions each. Registration for the Winter Active Start will be announced later in 2021.

Train to be a Nitro (ten 1-hour sessions)
Players born in 2010 to 2015

TTBN sessions are designed to serve recreational players looking to grow a love of the game as well as a chance to develop their skills. Sessions are played in a GAG format (Game-Activity-Game) so that players get a balance of instruction and game situations. The games at the start and end of the session give the opportunity to implement the skills they have been learning in a game situation. The coaches look to challenge all players appropriately and keep the sessions fun and engaging while also following an age appropriate curriculum to focus on the skills needed to play the game which has trickled down from our Nitros Programs.

The Train to be a Nitro program is designed as an entry point to the Nitros Development Pathway. Our Development Pathway is for players who love the game and are looking to be the best player they can be. TTBN follows the same format (Station Model) as the Nitros Development and Nitros Select programs to better prepare players and parents for what's to come next. The curriculum is designed with the U8 Nitros Development Program in mind, so that the topics covered will give players a chance to further develop their skills by the time they are able to join the Nitros Development Program at U8.

There will be a Fall TTBN and a separate Winter TTBN of 10 sessions each. TTBN is offered in turf and gym venues. Registration for the Winter TTBN will be announced later in 2021.

Recreational House League
Player born in 2006 to 2015

The Indoor Recreational League offers players the opportunity to play in weekly organized 1-hour games throughout the late fall and winter.

For the younger age groups (2012 to 2015), the sessions will be in a school gym at Bialik HDS and will be broken up in the middle with an activity that will include lots of touches on the ball. There will be a Fall league and a separate Winter league of 10 games each. Registration for the Winter League will be announced later in 2021.

The older age groups (2006 to 2011), the games will be refereed and played on turf at Central Technical School. The field size and game format may change depending on attendance, staff will organize accordingly. This will allow for more flexibility so that the game can be fun and challenging for as many players as possible. This league will start Nov 6 and end Apr 2 (16 games).

The Indoor Select Program is offered to players born 2010-2013 looking to continue their development in soccer in a more structured environment.
