North Toronto Soccer offers several different recreational programs, below is a brief description for each of these programs. All players are welcome, no soccer skill or experience necessary.
Recreational House League
Player born in 2003 to 2013
The Indoor Recreational House League offers players the opportunity to play in weekly organized 1-hour games throughout the late fall and winter.
For the younger age groups (2010 to 2013), the sessions will be in a school gym and will be broken up in the middle with an activity that will include lots of touches on the ball.
The older age groups (2003 to 2007), the games will be refereed and played on turf. The field size and game format may change depending on attendance, staff will organize accordingly. This will allow for more flexibility so that the game can be fun and challenging for players.
Skills Development Camps
Players born in 2006 to 2015
Skills Development sessions take place in local gyms and are designed to serve recreational players looking to grow a love of the game as well a chance to develop their skills.
Sessions are played in a GAG format (Game-Activity-Game) so that players get a balance instruction and game situations where they have the opportunity to implement the skills they have been learning. The coaches look to challenge all players appropriately and keep the sessions fun and engaging while also following an age appropriate curriculum to focus on the skills needed to play the game.
Players born in 2012, 2013 and 2014
The Train to be a Nitro program is designed as an entry point to the Nitros Development Pathway. Our Development Pathway is for players who love the game and are looking to be the best player they can be. TTBN follows the same format (Station Model) as the Nitros Development and Nitros Select programs to better prepare players and parents for what's to come next. The curriculum is designed with the U8 Nitros Development Program in mind, so that the topics covered will give players a chance to further develop their skills by the time they are able to join the Nitros Development Program at U8.
Parent and Tot Program
Player born in 2016
The Parent and Tot Program is a chance for toddlers and parents to play in a safe and fun environment. This program uses a free play structure where activities are set up by the coaches and the players and their parents can choose which they'd like to play. This also allows for the kids to develop social skills and get used to playing with others at their own pace. This is a great chance to find a space during the winter months with equipment to play games!
