Nitros Select 2023 Outdoor Program
Outdoor Program Overview
The Outdoor Select Program is offered to players ages U9-U12 (born from 2011 - 2014) looking to continue their development in soccer in a more structured environment. The Select Program looks to help bridge the gap between NT’s Recreational House League and Development programs while giving players a more structured environment with a pathway to further development.
The Select Program does not play in weekly league games as we try to accommodate for players that go away to camps and vacations during the Summer months (July and August). Instead of league games the Select teams play in Festivals during the months of May, June and September, which are preset for the season before registration.
Exhibition games will also be arranged to give more playing opportunities as well as inter-squad matches during the months of July and August. Festival and exhibition game information can be found further down the page.
Practices will run using different formats depending on the group: GAG (Game-Activity-Game) and the Station Model are the two session formats used in the Select Program.
Program Dates
Mid-April to September 17th 2023 (Tentatively)
Program Fees
The fee is $1390, which includes 2 weekly training sessions and 5 tournaments. The fee also includes uniforms (2 jersey, 1 pair of shorts, and 2 pairs of socks). If you need special financial arrangements, please contact Jenna at competitive@northtorontosoccer.com.
Cancellation Policy
No refunds/credits will be issued except for certifiable medical reasons reported within 7 days of a diagnosis via email to administration@ntsoccer.com.
Open Development Sessions
Open Development Sessions (ODS) are an opportunity for players to try the program, meet the coaches, and make sure the training is appropriate for their skill level. Coaches will assess the players and will recommend a program best suited for the player based on skill level and personal development. They may recommend starting in the Recreational League, Select, or even our more committed Development program.
Only new players need to attend these sessions, returning players don't need to attend. Click here for the schedule.
Commitment Level
There are no consequences for missed sessions other than missing out on a chance to practice and develop. We recognize that there will be absences due to vacations and other commitments however there will be no fee adjustment for any missed time.
There are 2 weekly practices*
No practice on long weekends or holidays.
There are no league games for the Outdoor Program, we ask that players commit to the majority (4 out of 5) of the festivals/tournaments as we base the number of teams entered on the number of players available.
*Please note, practice days are tentative and subject to change.
