Return to Play Announcement
North Toronto Soccer is looking forward to kicking off our Spring 2021 Recreational Soccer program! There are still many hurdles to overcome on our way to getting on the pitch but rest assured; unless advised otherwise by health officials, we’ll definitely have kids kicking around a ball in May! Our Spring 2021 season will look to create a safe environment for kids to run around and get rid of some of that extra energy! We will look to adjust our programming depending on the most up-to-date guidelines at the time, which will mean our plans will adapt as we go. We anticipate beginning in the Red Zone with the hopes to move into Orange Zone at some point before or during the season.

Please see a general outline for each zone below:

Grey  Zone
In the Grey Zone, there are limitations on the type of activities we can play, the restrictions in the Grey  Zone are:
Restricted to groups of a maximum of 10 participants, which includes coaches
- Physical distancing of 3 metres.
We will focus on Individualized Training; sessions will consist of individual dribbling technique and passing activities while maintaining physical distance whenever possible.
- There will be NO CONTACT
NO spectators permitted except for ONE parent per player

Red Zone
In the Red Zone, there are limitations on the type of activities we can play, the restrictions in the Red Zone are:
- Restricted to groups of a maximum of 25 participants, which includes coaches and team leaders
- Each playing group will play activities and games with their group only to limit contact with too many other players
- We will focus on Individualized Training; sessions will consist of individual dribbling technique and passing activities while maintaining physical distance whenever possible. We will also integrate modified games while keeping these guidelines in mind
- There will be NO CONTACT whenever possible
- NO spectators permitted except for ONE parent per player

Orange Zone
In the Orange Zone, we will be able to play games as we will no longer need to physical distance in our playing groups. The adjustments would be as follows:
- Restricted to groups of a maximum of 100 participants, which includes coaches and team leaders
- A “Bubble” can be formed with a maximum of 50 players. This Bubble will be the division teams will be playing in. E.g. Teams of 11 x 4 teams = 44 players per Bubble/Division
- We can now return to our more Traditional Training; sessions will run in a GAAG format: starting with a Game, then 2 Activities and finishing with a final game
- NO spectators permitted except for ONLY ONE parent per player
