2019 Outdoor Nitros Select Program
Outdoor Program Overview
The Outdoor Select Program is offered to players ages U9-U14 (born from 2005 - 2010) looking to continue their development in soccer in a more structured environment. The Select Program looks to help bridge the gap between NT’s Recreational House League and Development programs while giving players a more structured environment with a pathway to further development.
The Select Program does not play in weekly league games as we try to accommodate for players that go away to camps and vacations during the Summer months (July and August). Instead of league games the Select teams play in Festivals during the months of May, June and September, which are preset for the season before registration.
Exhibition games will also be arranged to give more playing opportunities as well as intersquad matches during the months of July and August. . Festival and exhibition game information can be found further down the page.
We will now be running single year age groups, to help better challenge players and allow for optimal development. Practices will run using different formats depending on the group: GAG (Game-Activity-Game) and the Station Model.

Call Up Opportunities
There could be the opportunity to call up to a Nitros team for one of their games. If a Nitros team is short players, they can look to Select players to help fill out the roster and give a chance for them to play in a league game.
Any questions please contact the Recreation Manager Nicolas Hurtado.
